FIRST XV WIN PROMOTION TO LONDON SOUTH EAST 2
In this, the Club's 80th anniversary season, Medway's First XV secured promotion to London South East 2, the highest league placing the Club has ever enjoyed during its history. In a tough fought game the First XV overcame a strong and resilient Bromley side with a 37-18 victory and Crowborough's win over Folkestone ensured Medway's fourth promotion in six seasons with two games of the league season remaining. A great result, a superb day and a fantastic season so far - well done lads.
With two league games and a tough semi final against Dover in the Shepherd Neame Plate still to come there is still some graft to be done and plenty of opportunity to get behind the team and support them on this, the last leg of the season. C'mon Medway!!
MEDWAY GIRLS AT ESHER WITH ENGLAND LADIES - 17 MARCH 2012
Whilst England's Ladies were securing the 6 Nations Grand Slam against Ireland, ably assisted by our very own Rachael Burford, Medway's Girls performed ball girl duties on the day. Tracy Pettingale, who is the Women & Girls Chair for the Kent Women and Girls Sub-committee and was also the 4th official at the match said: “Your girls did brilliantly on Saturday at Esher. I have done a few of these now and they made my job easier. There were no mistakes, they stayed focused and did their job well . I did thank them and told them so but if you could pass the message on to their coaches/club.” C'mon Medway!!

YOUR CLUB NEEDS VOLUNTEERS
As well as the many excellent volunteer coaches at the Club we also need volunteer photographers and match report writers across the various groups, particularly in the Mini and Youth sections. Many parents, family and friends watch their loved ones play at weekends so why not pick up your digital camera or pen and paper and start sending your teams photos and match reports to the Club's Web Editor, Pat Nolan, email address at the bottom of this page.
REFEREES ALSO NEEDED
If you are an existing Club Referee or are interested in becoming one why not contact Danny Pattenden on 07990 567086 and he can talk you through the process. With the thick end of the season now upon us why not get involved and relieve some of the strain from our regular Kent Society Officials Richard Ebanks, Colin Cheyne and Pat Nolan who would love your help.
EIGHTY TIES FOR EIGHTY YEARS
The Club Shop now has in stock our very special 80th Anniversary Club tie, which is available on a first come, first serverd basis. The ties are limited edition and £10:95 each. Your purchase will gain you free entry
to an end of season prize draw.
Also in stock are new fleeces, hoodies, t-shirts, etc so why not get down the Club shop and 'fill your boots'.
