Please note that as you achieve your sponsorship within
your sections (from under sevens to the first fifteen) you should please
inform Mr Jim Hillier -jimhillier@talktalk.net.
Jim is the sponsorship liaison officer for the club this season (07/08)
and he must be informed of all sponsorship that you have secured
from
individuals, companies, parents or any source so that the sponsor
can receive a letter from the club of thanks and hopefully also
receive an invitation to a buffet lunch and watch a first team
match with other
sponsors.
We cannot make these invitations and thank the sponsors
unless we know who they are and now that the rugby club is growing
so large can you please, please each group, ensure that Jim receives
information about the sponsorship.
There is one final point that is clear and that is some
people are approaching the same companies twice and that can be
a little annoying for the person receiving the approach if they have
already donated a
substantial amount of sponsorship to the club (of course it
can also be embarrassing for the person who is making the approach).
The purpose of a sponsorship liaison officer in the shape of Jim is that
multiple requests are avoided and all the sponsors are thanked and
the club asks you please to inform Jim of the
sponsorship you have secured with full details
so that he may write to them and contact them.
