Whether you are a player coming to the end of a playing career, or a long
term non-playing member of the club, or perhaps new to the club altogether,
you can be assured that membership of the VPA will enable you to soak up
that unique and magic atmosphere that is special to Medway Rugby Football
Club, and at the same time make a real and valuable contribution to the
future of Rugby Union in general, and this club in particular.
For a happy Saturday afternoon with friends/business colleagues/relatives/neighbours/etc., Medway Rugby Club offers a thoroughly down-to-earth (often earthy!) venue where you can enjoy the very best of local rugby whilst bathing in the warmth of the company of like minded fellow members of the VPA and sampling the delights of the club bar and snack counter. Sundays are just as (if not more) busy with the ladies section and the youth and mini sections all playing and socialising most weeks of the season.
The cost of joining is set so that it is sufficient to make it special but at the same time low enough to make it easily affordable for most people. At just £15 a month it represents excellent value for your money, being only the equivalent of a round of drinks, or a modest lunch for two at the pub. Add to that, the happiness that you will surely derive from your VPA membership throughout the year, and the certain knowledge that you are truly supporting in the most tangible way possible the continued success of the club and the future of rugby in the area. Your membership will entitle you to priority service at the VPA bar on busy match days, and on joining you will be given your unique VPA sweater, exclusive pure silk tie, lapel badge, and £10 worth of bar tokens.
A number of gatherings and events are organised throughout the season, to most of which you are encouraged to bring along personal guests, and enclosed with this information pack is a list of scheduled events for the current season. Our club President is always the current Mayor of Medway, who is usually in attendance at our more formal events such as the annual Six Nations Lunch/Dinner and annual Sponsors and Vice Presidents Lunch.
Should you decide that membership of the Vice Presidents Association is for you all you have to do is complete and print, complete and sign the enclosed application form and standing order forms below and post them to:
Roger Waltham, 34 School Lane, Lower Halstow, Nr Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 7ET
We hope to welcome you to the VPA soon, where we have a lot of fun, support our club, enjoy rugby, and forge strong and lasting friendships with like minded people.
