Medway Rugby Club is proud to announce a new partnership with KIMS Hospital, which will become the club’s official medical partner for the 25/26 season.
This partnership brings together a much-loved community rugby club with the region’s largest independent healthcare provider, ensuring that players of all ages, from minis and juniors through to seniors, have access to expert medical support when they need it most. Services range from private GP appointments, health checks, and diagnostic imaging to consultations and inpatient procedures, providing comprehensive care both on and off the pitch.
Founded in 1931, Medway Rugby Club has grown into one of the South East’s largest community rugby clubs, offering a place for boys, girls, men and women to play, learn and enjoy the game. With rugby’s reputation for being physically demanding, the club sees access to quality medical care not just as protection, but as a way of helping families feel confident that their loved ones are safe and supported.
“This partnership is about making sure every player, from the youngest child to the most experienced adult, feels cared for,” said Tracy Bullock Chair of Medway Rugby Club. “Rugby is a sport for life, and thanks to KIMS Hospital, we can give our members and their families peace of mind both on and off the pitch.”
For KIMS Hospital, the partnership reflects its mission to support the communities it serves across Kent.
“Community clubs like Medway Rugby Club are where values like teamwork, respect and resilience are built,” said Emma Santer, Partnerships Manager at KIMS Hospital. “We are delighted to support the health and wellbeing of players at every level, and to be part of a club that welcomes the whole family.”
As part of the partnership, players will have access to fast diagnostic services and a wide range of healthcare support designed to keep them active and enjoying the game. Beyond the pitch, the collaboration also seeks to promote health and wellbeing across the wider Medway community, inspiring people of all ages to take part in sport and prioritise their health.
Together, Medway Rugby Club and KIMS Hospital are working to make rugby not just a game, but a safe, supportive and inclusive experience for everyone.
