“Proud Hearts, Strong Spirits: A Brilliant Display from Medway’s U12 Girls.”

Under-12 Girls Shine at the Waterfall Competition

The Under-12 Medway girls stepped into today’s Waterfall Competition brimming with preparation, confidence, and excitement—and they absolutely delivered a performance to be proud of.

From the very first whistle, the team showcased impressive skill, determination, and a genuine love for the game. While the results didn’t fall our way this time—two losses and one hard fought draw—the girls demonstrated exactly what Medway rugby is all about: heart, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship.

What truly set them apart today was their character. They displayed their strengths with pride, treated every referee with respect, and even stepped in to support other teams who needed additional players. Coaches and spectators from across the competition praised their attitude, their behaviour, and their rugby spirit. That kind of recognition speaks louder than any trophy.

It was a physical day on the pitch, and the girls certainly earned their stripes—bruises, bumps, cuts, scrapes and all. But every single player walked off the field with their head held high, still smiling, still united, and still hungry for the next challenge.

Finishing within the top four teams in Kent is an incredible achievement, and we could not be prouder. The players gave everything they had, and their coaches were right there beside them, cheering, guiding, and celebrating every moment.

No silverware this time—but plenty of pride, progress, and promise.

Onwards and upwards for our amazing Under-12 girls. Next stop: the Kent Sevens and the Ashford Sevens. Well done, all.
