Medway development team run out on a fine Saturday afternoon made up from a combination of players from the development squad and a supporting crew from the Crusaders. TJ's arrived with a more than full compliment of 27 players with the coach asking at one point to swap most of his team every quarter. Medway a quitted themselves with passion and pride, despite conceding early in the game it wasn't long before we fought back and the scoreboard began to tick along with both sides scoring. TJ's continually changed their playing personnel whilst Medway got the tape out to hold ourselves together. In the end it was just a step too far but the men from Medway fought valiantly and never gave up, scoring what was the games last try to make the final score 41-34 to TJ's.
On a different day with a full compliment I am sure that the team would have completed a glorious victory. As it was the men from the combined 3rd's and 4th's of Medway could hold their heads high and look forward to a tough but challenging season ahead
well done lads and well done to Paul Redmond, who on debut, put in a man of the match performance
cheers
