The 2022/23 season is an exciting one for the Medway U16 Girls as they look to build on the success of last year, which saw the girls win the Kent Plate and Kent 7s Plate finals within the space of 2 weeks. After beginning last season with barely enough players to form a team, we quickly attracted new members and built a squad of 27 players and enjoyed success beyond our expectations.

Most of the squad have returned this year and moving up to U16s means some changes to the laws, which presents a great opportunity for them to develop their skills as individuals and as a team. As ever, we will be focusing on building a fun, enjoyable environment both on and off the field as we look to move forward with our rugby development, but also on cresting long lasting friendships. We’ve got plenty of off-field activities and team bonding opportunities planned and can’t wait to get stuck in.

Like the rest of the Medway Girls Section, we train at Priestfields on Tuesday evenings at 6pm until 7.25pm and Sunday afternoons between 1pm and 2.30pm. We welcome new players in school years 10 and 11, so please do get in touch.
