Welcome to the U11 Medway Raptors (year 5). We are part of the Medway rugby minis section, with a mix of boys and girls of all abilities who’s aim is to encourage children to learn and enjoy rugby in a fun environment. With our trained and dedicated coaches, the Raptors team enjoy learning how to pass and catch in drills, safe techniques on the pitch and play games & tournaments both at home and across neighbouring Kentish towns. All the while, our values are at the forefront of our team community: Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, and Sportsmanship.
We pride ourselves on inclusivity; coaches have carried out training to accommodate individual needs of every player to maintain an inclusive and diverse team. Whether new to rugby or have played in the past we offer all players new to Medway 3 free taster sessions to determine if rugby is right for you, with the manager and lead coach on hand to help with any queries you have during those sessions. If you are keen to join we will ask you to become a member of our RFU approved club and walk you through the process.
We are more than just a rugby club as we hold numerous family-oriented events throughout the year, with Halloween and Christmas parties, mini’s tour, summer picnics in the park and much more. We train every Sunday at 9:30am and look forward to seeing you on the pitch!
